MUNICH FABRIC START – the world’s largest trade fair for fabrics and trimmings – has given us the opportunity to expand their Additionals sector by creating a new trend foyer. We kicked off with season S/S 18 and created four individual trim worlds according to the season’s trend themes. Our aim was to present the Additionals as a key source of inspiration by putting them into a greater focus.

To our way of thinking, different product groups demand individualized display formats. Buttons, for instance, are better highlighted on different areas to ribbons, packaging or fasteners. By organizing these items into stories, we believed that visitors were given a coherent image that flows into the work process as inspiration.

As shown in the following pictures, we set up four different trim areas inspired by the trend themes THE FACTORY, THE LAB, THE GARDEN & THE TEMPLE. We’ve been selecting and curating samples from over 280 market-leading accessories suppliers and put them into exclusive installations. Our goal was to entertain the visitors, buyers and designers by drumming up interest and attention to detail.
